Not only is this coffee delicious in its fruity and floral tartness, but it also directly benefits the communities and particularly the children of the families that produce this coffee through social programs at origin including kindergartens and a rural health clinic. OFI and Covoya have also implemented an innovative closed-loop system to keep natural gas emissions from processing out of the environment and used instead to power mechanical dryers, as well as an extensive composting pilot program that they plan to build out at processing mills that they work with across Guatemala and in other countries.
