The Realm 2017 Houyi Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a powerful yet remarkably refined mountain Cabernet from Houyi Vineyard on Pritchard Hill, one of Napa Valley’s most prestigious high-elevation areas. Realm began producing a single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from this site in 2013, years before acquiring the 22-acre vineyard in 2022.

Perched at approximately 1,300 feet above the fog line, Houyi’s vines grow in dense, fractured volcanic rock, producing concentrated fruit while retaining the vineyard’s signature elegance and polished tannins. The 2017 offers blueberry, blackberry, dark cherry, floral notes, savory herbs, mineral and crushed stone, with a creamy texture, freshness, and fine-grained structure. Realm’s recent retrospective of the vintage describes the 2017 as lively and fresh and recommends enjoying it now.
